Directions To Dahlonega Spa Resort

From Atlanta Airport

Make sure you follow signs out of the airport for I-85 N. This is how the directions start out from the Hartsfield-Jackson Domestic Terminal:

Head East on N. Terminal Parkway
Slight right toward S Terminal Parkway
Keep right at the fork, follow signs for I-85N/I20/I-75/Atlanta
Merge onto I-85 N
I-85 N and I-75 split. I-85 N splits to the left toward GA-400/Greenville. Continue north on I-85.
Use the right lanes to take Exit 87 to merge onto GA-400 N toward Buckhead/Cumming/Dahlonega.
Continue north on GA-400 for approximately 50 miles.
GA-400 ends at a signal light where there is a sign indicating a left turn to get to Dahlonega. Ignore this sign and continue straight through the intersection. GA-400 turns into a 2-lane road called Long Branch Road.
Continue for approximately 8 miles on Long Branch Road until it dead ends into Cavender Creek Road (there will not be a sign at this intersection).
Turn left on Cavender Creek Road and drive approximately 1 mile.
Turn right on Town Creek Church Road (there is no stop sign but there are a number of signs including one for Dahlonega Spa Resort).
Drive approximately 2.8 miles until you see a sign for Dahlonega Spa Resort and a street sign for Blueberry Hill on the right.
Turn right onto Blueberry Hill, stay to the right, and drive up to the Main Inn for check-in.

 

From Highway 400

Drive north on Highway 400. At the intersection of GA400 and Hwy 60 you will see a sign indicating the end of GA400 and a sign for Dahlonega to the left. Ignore this sign and continue straight through the intersection. GA-400 turns into a 2-lane road called Long Branch Road.
Continue for approximately 8 miles on Long Branch Road until it dead ends into Cavender Creek Road (there will not be a sign at this intersection).
Turn left on Cavender Creek Road and drive approximately 1 mile.

Dining at Dahlonega Spa Resort

Our restaurant – Pura Vida – offers healthy, locally sourced fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Pura Vida serves fish, chicken and a variety of vegetarian options. We are happy to accommodate dietary preferences with advanced notice.

Advance reservations are required for lunch and dinner.  Pura Vida Restaurant is closed for lunch Sunday-Tuesday and closed for dinner Sunday-Monday.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do rooms compare to cabins?
Our wooded cabins are their own free-standing units located in a more secluded area of the resort. They are slightly larger and offer more privacy, with wood floors and private front porches. Six of the cabins are equipped with two queen beds and two offer a king size beds. All but one are pet-friendly. The Main House and West Wing rooms are in or adjacent to the reception area and are carpeted. All have other guest rooms next door and either above or below. They are closer to the restaurant / Front Desk services, parlor, front porch and outdoor Jacuzzi. The Cottage Rooms are located in an independent building just a short stroll from the Main House. They are also carpeted. The Main House, West Wing and Cottage rooms all have Wi-Fi. No pets are allowed in these rooms.

Are there mountain views?
Yes! The wrap-around veranda at the Main House offers magnificent long-range views of the mountains. Sunsets are extraordinary! Six rooms have mountain views.

Do you have televisions?
No. We encourage our guests to unplug & indulge in our peaceful and quiet setting.

Do cell phones work there?Yes, we have found that AT&T and Verizon have the best signal and that T-Mobile and Sprint are not as strong.

Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

What time is check-in/check out?
Check-in: 3pm Check-out: 11am

Do you have heat and air conditioning?
Yes, throughout the property. We have ceiling fans in many of the rooms.

Are there refrigerators in the rooms?
Each Cabin is equipped with a small refrigerator.

Are there lots of bugs?
Thanks to our elevation, a gentle breeze keeps bugs at a minimum.

Do you offer laundry service?
We do not offer guest laundry service. The closest laundromat is in the nearby town of Cleveland for approximately $12 a load.

Is there an ATM nearby?
There are ATM machines in the nearby towns of Dahlonega and Cleveland, 15 minutes away.

Do you accommodate guests who have a special diet (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free)?
Our chefs are happy to accommodate dietary preferences as long as we are made aware in advance.

Do you serve meat?
Yes, our Pura Vida restaurant serves fish, chicken and pork.

What is the policy on children? What can they do while they’re there?
Children are welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult at all times and are respectful of other guests enjoying our peaceful environment. Since there are no televisions in our rooms, it is a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time together as a family, reading, exploring the property and enjoying outdoor adventures.

Can I bring my pet?
Yes, we welcome well-behaved pets to our cabins. There is a per pet fee of $25 and guests must sign a waiver holding them responsible for any damage to the room.  Pets are not allowed in our common areas, including the main house, restaurant, front porch, Jacuzzi, Gadane Yoga Hall.

Is Dahlonega Spa Resort a safe place for single women to visit?
Yes, our property offers an ideal setting for single women. Most feel a deep sense of peace and ease on our property.

Is Dahlonega Spa Resort a good place for weddings?
The ambiance of the resort is perfect for small intimate weddings and we can accommodate buffets for up to 44 guests.

Is the Dahlonega Spa Resort associated with the same company that makes reservations for Pura Vida Spa in Costa Rica and Maya Tulum in Mexico?
Yes! We are an affiliate property of R&R Resorts, who also represent Pura Vida Retreat & Spa in Costa Rica and Maya Tulum Resort in Mexico.
